I was in my physical therapy class after a double mastectomy talking to my therapist about all the concerts I attended in the 60s and 70s. She recommended I listen to this after I told about hearing so many old bands in San Francisco and missing the feeling of those days. I saw Simon and Garfunkel in concert in 1967. Disturb has done this song proud. So different from their albums I listen to today.

I think doing covers now days people add tweaks and sometimes it just brings it to life. Im a 60 year old biker from the 1970s so i heard the original a lot. I just recently seen the live version on Conan obrien and sounds exactly the same. Its amazing raises the hair all over the arms and face😢

I’m not going to hold the m0r0ns that commented on your video against you. I want to see how you react to other videos. But, I seriously doubt, we haven’t seen too many that the other hasn’t seen.

Gotta say, I prefer a good singer that goes into rap instead of throat, gravel gargles like some of my bands that I’m a fan of, but not my favs. Like Jesse, the old Killswitch Engage singer. He could belt. But 99% off the time he did that stupid gargle singing that popular with those super heavy bands. You get out of that genre quick because it’s boring. But you can’t deny talent.

C’mon man. You’re not even that big and already have a 18 second intro! No one knows who you are. You don’t deserve an intro. Just get into it. I know a reactor that didn’t even incorporate an intro that long until he got 10 million subs. So, obviously, before I even react you think you are God’s gift to “everybody”. Haha.BTW. I'm not religious but the first time I watched this I cried like a baby. In 2007 I was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma of the neck and given a 20% chance of survival. At the time I was diagnosed our son was 18 months old and I was determined to live long enough for him to have clear memories of his father. I had a friend growing up who had lost his father as a baby and he never got over it. Here it is 16 years after my treatment and just a few weeks ago we went to his graduation. Parts of his song hit me really hard. At one time I was in so much pain I considered ending it. I heard that voice he spoke about but in my mind it was the voice of our then 7 year old son asking me why I left him. He has a lot of music that hit me just as hard. My son and I listen to this song together about once a month. Hopefully we'll continue to do that as he gets through college and marries but I'm getting pretty old so if I go this week I was able to complete my goal. ❤️

I have stood with my toes over a cliff at night, no stars in the sky, looking at a ocean devoid of life (depression) dead; the water started to boil and an old wrecked tall ship surfaced; l had to restore this ship and set it free….this was me; my life is different now, l have managed to sail in clearer skies, not so dark anymore..a life that one still struggles through but not dragged under, l thank the therapist who hypnotised me on my only visit and meditation for this outcome….l subconsciously built a wall around me and was suffocating myself before this…l needed to comfort the little child within me….yeah, gets deep.
